I dropped the car off on 11/23/2002 and , I picked it up on December 21, 2002.

Bob Steiger the owner of Twin Lakes Fiero installed a used 1995 Pontiac Firebird engine 3.4 V6 160 HP. His work is next to none, the engine compartment looks new.  All parts were replaced including axles, brake splash shields, valve covers, intake etc.............

The old 2.8 V6 got two miles per gallon better than the new 3.4 V6, BUT the 2.8 was driven down in the dark at a much slower speed than the new 3.4 coming home in the daylight, plus I was hot rodding it.

I did 0 to 60 times before and after the engine change. The best time for the 2.8 was 10.5 seconds. The new 3.4 best time so far is 7.4 seconds.  The car is a lot more fun to drive now and I have to say the investment was the biggest bang for the buck.
